A stone, like you’ve never seen before - designs with the Ceppo Nuovo gres tiles in the lead role

Stone – one word, thousands of associations. Originally reserved for the minimalistic style, but over time it proudly crossed the threshold of every interior. This is why we absolutely love design. For its constant changes and inspirations that can truly be found everywhere… for instance, on a lively street in Milan.

After the recent popularity of the marble motif, it turns out that the topic of stone in interiors is just getting started. Designers have begun toying with different styles while experimenting with this raw material, and investors became more and more daring and more open to new ideas.

It turned out that the building material used by people for millennia has found a fantastic niche in modern times. Marble has become a hallmark of the modern classic style, which convinced us that stone is not just reserved for a specific design concept, but that it likes atypical combinations. And that’s how tiles imitating stone came to be.

Ceppo nuovo, or the “new offshoot”

From Venice, which brings about the association of marble, we go west to Milan, a city, the style  of which was the source of inspiration for the creators of the Ceppu Nuovo, large-format gres tile collection.

There, we absorb the energy of the city and the Italian temperament, and we admire how history combines with modernity. It’s no longer clean, bright nor perfect. It is, however, genuine, temperamental and extremely elegant. We’re captivated by the deigns of Milans’ restaurants and those beautiful stone floors.  And that thought of: “it would be nice to have one of these” quickly turns into “I too can have one of these!” when you realize that the means to create such beauty are already at your fingertips.

Structure as the décor

The Black edition of the Ceppo Nuovo gres tiles, from the new Cerrad x La Mania Home, used on the main living room wall, will adorn it better than any wallpaper or paintings would do. The unique pattern and its depth catch the eye and captivate. Furniture in subdued colors and patterns will go perfectly with such a clear accent on the wall.

The hues in Black will also perfectly fit into interiors of elegant restaurants, cafes and waiting rooms, such as hotel foyers. Accent it with strong colors, for instance sofas and armchairs in terracotta or bottle green, thus emphasizing the specific character of the interior. If you prefer a mellow, natural look and feel – use furniture and accessories with earthy tones.

Elegance – the nonchalant edition

A well-composed interior means harmony. Not too much and not too little, just right. The Silver edition of the tiles is a great backdrop for other elements in the interior.  Just imagine the character the interior will take on with gray, stone-like tiles laid on the floor.  Think how the bathroom will change if you mount them on a wall with mirrors, or how fantastic they will look in combination with wooden trims or slats. The subtle power of elegance contained within the Silver gres tiles will add an edge to the otherwise classic design.

Balance will always work

Do you love comfy sofas, cozy blankets, heavy curtains? Balance them with stone! Contrasts draw in attention. The Cerrad Ceppo Nuovo Graphite tiles, along with their warm gray tones, are a safe solution if you are not sure whether you prefer light or very dark shades.

Play with the possibilities!

Mix and match the tiles from the Ceppo Nuovo collections! Put the matte Graphite tiles on the floor and the full gloss Silver tiles on the wall. In combination with the light (natural or artificial) they will create a different visual effect throughout the day and year. Notice how the furniture contours reflect in the glossy surface and how the light dances in it as the day goes by. Admire how the light from the lamps scatters in the matt surface. You can also use Ceppo Nuovo gres tiles as part of your décor.

“What is the floor for some, will be the ceiling for others”

According to the latest trends, what we see on the ceiling as we enter a room, no longer has to be a big white void. The ceiling is the apex of the whole interior. Let the stone motif go beyond the normal and let it also endure on the ceiling. Form and intent do not have to limit you. The ceiling is the limit!
