Ceppo Nuovo – A stone, like you’ve never seen before

Ceppo Nuovo – A stone, like you’ve never seen before

Stone – one word, thousands of associations. Originally reserved for the minimalistic style, but over time it proudly crossed the threshold of every interior. This is why we absolutely love design. For its constant changes and inspirations that can truly be found everywhere… for instance, on a lively street in Milan.

After the recent popularity of the marble motif, it turns out that the topic of stone in interiors is just getting started. Designers have begun toying with different styles while experimenting with this raw material, and investors became more and more daring and more open to new ideas.

It turned out that the building material used by people for millennia has found a fantastic niche in modern times. Marble has become a hallmark of the modern classic style, which convinced us that stone is not just reserved for a specific design concept, but that it likes atypical combinations. And that’s how tiles imitating stone came to be.

Ceppo nuovo, or the “new offshoot”

From Venice, which brings about the association of marble, we go west to Milan, a city, the style  of which was the source of inspiration for the creators of the Ceppu Nuovo, large-format gres tile collection.

There, we absorb the energy of the city and the Italian temperament, and we admire how history combines with modernity. It’s no longer clean, bright nor perfect. It is, however, genuine, temperamental and extremely elegant. We’re captivated by the deigns of Milans’ restaurants and those beautiful stone floors.  And that thought of: “it would be nice to have one of these” quickly turns into “I too can have one of these!” when you realize that the means to create such beauty are already at your fingertips.

Structure as the décor

The Black edition of the Ceppo Nuovo gres tiles, from the new Cerrad x La Mania Home, used on the main living room wall, will adorn it better than any wallpaper or paintings would do. The unique pattern and its depth catch the eye and captivate. Furniture in subdued colors and patterns will go perfectly with such a clear accent on the wall.

The hues in Black will also perfectly fit into interiors of elegant restaurants, cafes and waiting rooms, such as hotel foyers. Accent it with strong colors, for instance sofas and armchairs in terracotta or bottle green, thus emphasizing the specific character of the interior. If you prefer a mellow, natural look and feel – use furniture and accessories with earthy tones.

Elegance – the nonchalant edition

A well-composed interior means harmony. Not too much and not too little, just right. The Silver edition of the tiles is a great backdrop for other elements in the interior.  Just imagine the character the interior will take on with gray, stone-like tiles laid on the floor.  Think how the bathroom will change if you mount them on a wall with mirrors, or how fantastic they will look in combination with wooden trims or slats. The subtle power of elegance contained within the Silver gres tiles will add an edge to the otherwise classic design.

Balance will always work

Do you love comfy sofas, cozy blankets, heavy curtains? Balance them with stone! Contrasts draw in attention. The Cerrad Ceppo Nuovo Graphite tiles, along with their warm gray tones, are a safe solution if you are not sure whether you prefer light or very dark shades.

Play with the possibilities!

Mix and match the tiles from the Ceppo Nuovo collections! Put the matte Graphite tiles on the floor and the full gloss Silver tiles on the wall. In combination with the light (natural or artificial) they will create a different visual effect throughout the day and year. Notice how the furniture contours reflect in the glossy surface and how the light dances in it as the day goes by. Admire how the light from the lamps scatters in the matt surface. You can also use Ceppo Nuovo gres tiles as part of your décor.

“What is the floor for some, will be the ceiling for others”

According to the latest trends, what we see on the ceiling as we enter a room, no longer has to be a big white void. The ceiling is the apex of the whole interior. Let the stone motif go beyond the normal and let it also endure on the ceiling. Form and intent do not have to limit you. The ceiling is the limit!

Backstage from the photo shoot

The summer photo session of the Brazilian Quartzite, Ceppo Nuovo, Modern Concrete and Marmo collections took place in a wonderfully natural setting: blue skies, a sandy beach in the background and the sounds of the sea all around. The person posing in the La Mania stylizations was Aleksandra Skubis.

Worlds of fashion and design coming together is an electrifying combination – we’ve known this for quite some time now. What if nature joined this duo? The new collection of large-format gres tiles from Cerrad x La Mania Home will be a unique finish in any interior. Perfect design, reliable quality, a multitude of textures and formats – all this makes it so, that Cerrad tiles have been enjoying constant interest from architects, designers and investors for years now.

Unique tiles require a unique setting. That is why, together with the Cerrad x La Mania team, we organized a session in Sasino, which is full of ambience and character. The new session for our porcelain tiles took place on a sandy beach, accompanied by the sound of the sea and a refreshing sea breeze. The irreplaceable Aleksandra Skubis, known from the Top Model program, posed in the stylings of the La Mania brand.

They were all judged by a professional jury comprised of 48 independent jurors.

The gala was held in Essen, Germany. The stunning atmosphere of the event was emphasized by the red carpets and the breathtaking architecture of the Aalto Theater interior. Designers Night was the culmination of the event, as the guests gathered in the museum of contemporary design – Red Dot Design Museum (in the former Zollverein mine building, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List), so they could admire the awarded products.

– The Red Dot Gala is a unique event. I’m glad that we were able to travel to Essen to represent the Cerrad Group – comments Tomasz Glegoła, Marketing Director of Cerrad. – It’s a true celebration of international designs – he adds.

The award-winning collection of Cerrad tiles – Ceppo Nuovo, was created through the collaboration between the Cerrad and La Mania Home brands. Training for architects in Lublin

On June 21, over 130 Architects and Designers were guests at the unique “Senses on a journey into the world of interiors” event organized by the Cerrad brand in Lublin, at the Arche Hotel. The Impero Bocheński Lublin salon was a Partner at the event.

Lublin was the next location of our one-of-a-kind get together for interior designers. In the stylish interiors of the Arche Hotel, the invited guests had the opportunity to see the latest large-format gres tiles from the Cerrad x La Mania Home line: Brazilian Quartzite, Ceppo Nuovo, Modern Concrete and Marmo Thassos/Morocco. This was yet another fantastic event (in addition to those already held in Kalisz, Łódź, Opole and Rzeszów) organized by Cerrad especially for Architects and Interior Designers.

“The Senses on a Journey into the World of Interiors” is a series of original training courses.  These special get togethers are set up in a way as to engage all our 5 senses during the event.  Through the use of items that inspired a given collection and the characteristic flora, music and menu items, which are referencing Brazil, Morocco, Greece, Milan or New York, Cerrad hopes that our products and the company itself, will be remembered for a long time to come by all the participants.

– We invited our guests on a joint journey, different than before, where the product isn’t just reduced to its technical parameters, formats or looks. We unveiled these new collections before the participants in order to help them create interiors that are full of emotions, where harmonious elements are sure to affect every sense – comments Łukasz Majewski, training coordinator at Cerrad.

The ideal interior does not just consist of a space and the items that are used to fill it up. It’s a whole range of emotions, experiences and feelings that all our senses help us to discover. Marta Siembab knows this very well.  She’s the only Polish senselier, an independent expert who provides comprehensive knowledge related to the sense of smell. During the events, participants can learn about the role that the sense of smell plays in interior design and they get to create their own fragrance during the specially prepared workshops.

The new collections of gres tiles were created in collaboration with the La Mania Home brand, and that’s why it was important for Aleksandra Pietrzyk-Zawadzka, director of brand marketing and communication, to be there and to talk about the project from the fashion perspective.

The Cerrad Group, who is handing over these unique products into the hands of professionals, believes that they will help to create interiors full of emotions and that these latest collections of gres tiles: Brazilian Qurtzite, Modern Concrete, Marmo and Ceppo Nuovo will meet and exceed the expectations of even the most demanding customers. Our guests confirmed our beliefs.

– I rate the event at a strong 10. It was a great opportunity to meet many new people from the industry. The presentation of the products was done at a very high level, and the new collections are simply brilliant! I will certainly be using them in my upcoming projects. And the part of the event with the different scents was something completely new for me. I’ve never had the opportunity to participate in such a unique workshop. I’m pleasantly surprised. The idea and the execution of this event were both truly fantastic. I hope that there will be more of these types of initiatives – comments Cezary Myszak, founder and main architect of Dreamup Design.

We would like to thank all the participants and our Partner Impero Lublin.

Ceramic tiles in the bedroom

Those times, when ceramic tiles were considered a material that was strictly dedicated for bathrooms and hallways, are becoming a thing of the past. Today, they’re entering living rooms with gusto, becoming a synonym for elegance while perfectly harmonizing with any kind of finish in the bedroom.

A while back it used to be… All fluff and pastels. Shag carpets, excess of pillows, heavy curtains – bedrooms of the past decades were immersed in infinite softness. The bedroom should be cozy, and cozy means fluffy. And ceramic tiles in the bedroom? Not so much.

And then minimalism made its introduction and redefined how contemporary designs perceive leisure and relaxation. It swapped “more” for “less”, without losing the intimate, warm character. Tiles became the foundation of designs. And in response to the many questions on: what about the bedroom wall? And how should the bedroom be decorated? The answers more often than not were: ceramic tiles.

Cold as tile? Nothing could be further from the truth

This extraordinary material takes design options to a whole new level. And we’re not just talking about wood-like tiles, which have already made their debut in contemporary interiors many years ago, but about tiles that bring to mind the beauty of stone – and not necessarily in shades of gray, even though traditionalists will also be able to find something here to fit their aesthetic. Bedroom, kitchen, bathroom? The place doesn’t matter. Ceramic tiles by Cerrad x La Mania Home show a completely new face of gres. Filled with colors and energy.

The not so obvious browns and beiges

Although they have been working perfectly in bedrooms for years now, left to their own devices, they can seem void of character and modern elegance. This is where the Brazilian Quartzite ceramic tiles comes in. They seem to combine two different worlds – that of energy and that of relaxation, taking us to the golden beaches of Brazil, where time happens to go by very differently. And such a duo is a perfect combination for a bedroom.

Our approach to using Brazilian Quartzite in the domain of relaxation? Behind the headboard, Amber shade on the wall, a light Marmo Thassos floor, and accessories in shades of coco or chocolate…

Sometimes in blue, sometimes in gray …

Blue in the bedroom? Of course! And what if the deep sky and azure waves make their appearance on the wall? Impossible? Not with Brazilian Quartzite in the shade of Blue. Like moments of leisure filled with relaxation and laid-back reflection by the sea … The Blue collection soothes the nerves, and that’s extremely important in the bedroom, isn’t it?

There is no need to be afraid of the ‘ceramic tile in the bedroom’ solution, even if only for the functionality of it all. They will be appreciated by anyone whose imagination of interiors led them to the extremely fashionable bedroom + bathroom combination. The three shades of the Ceppo Nuovo collection – Silver, Graphite and Black, have been enriched with a stone print that seems to be sunken in under a pane of glass. Full of class and refinement, but not void of energy and temperament – bedroom design end result depends on choice of collection.

Are you free of doubts now, that ceramic tiles in the bedroom hit the bullseye?

The first few training courses for Architects and Designers are behind us!

As part of the “Senses on a journey into the world of interiors” project, presentations of the large-format gres tiles from the Brazilian Quartzite, Ceppo Nuovo, Modern Concrete and Marmo Thassos / Morocco collections, as well as workshops with the only Polish senselier, Marta Siembab, are being held throughout Poland.

The Cerrad map of events includes, among others, Lublin, Opole, Łódź and Rzeszów. The get togethers were attended by, just to mention a few, architects from Toruń and Kalisz. The courses are held in design showrooms, where the invited guests – interior architects and designers, have an opportunity to see products from the latest Cerrad x La Mania Home collections: Brazilian Quartzite, Ceppo Nuovo, Modern Concrete and Marmo Thassos / Morocco. During each event, Aleksandra Pietrzyk-Zawadzka, Marketing and Communication Director of La Mania and La Mania Home, gives a presentation about the collaboration with the La Mania Home brand.  Each meeting includes a showing of the large-format gres tiles from the latest collections, fragrance creating workshops, and themed catering. Thanks to the exotic fragrances, music and menu referencing Brazil, Morocco, Greece, Milan and New York, the participants of the events are sure to remember the new Cerrad products for a long time.

– Meeting with Cerrad and the La Mania representatives was an exceptionally pleasant experience for me. The entire setting of the event, the red carpet, interesting presentations and delicious dishes from all over the world took the participants to many, beautiful places. The red carpet made us all feel like stars. However, the main attraction for me were the large format tiles from Cerrad. I’m in love with large formats and the presented collections are most definitely right up my alley. – comments interior designer Anna Kętrzyńska from the ANA Projekt studio.

Surrounding interiors can help us regain balance, have a relaxing effect or, on the contrary, motivate us to get things done, as they give back the energy that’s hidden in them. The perfect interior is not just about the objects that are used to fill it up. It’s a whole range of emotions, experiences and feelings that all our senses lead us to discover. Marta Siembab knows this very well – the only Polish senselier, an independent expert who provides comprehensive knowledge related to the sense of smell. During each of the events, participants could learn about what role the senses play in interior designs and afterwards, take the time to create their own fragrance during the specially prepared workshops.

The training events are part of an extensive promotional campaign accompanying the launch of the Cerrad x La Mania Home line of gres tiles, including the Ceppo Nuovo collection, which is not just appreciated by the brand’s customers and fans of Cerrad tiles, but also by international audiences. The Ceppo Nuovo collection received the prestigious “red dot” award in the Product Design category for its original design and the high-quality workmanship. The new products also won the hearts of the architects and designers present at the events.

New series of meetings for architects and designers

As part of the marketing campaign, we have prepared special get togethers, during which our guests are invited to discover the new products with the help of sensory awareness.

As part of the collaboration between Cerrad and La Mania Home brands, 4 new gres tile collections inspired by the beauty of Brazil, Morocco, Greece, Milan and New York were created through the joint project. The Ambassador to the project is Joanna Przetakiewicz, creator and owner of the La Mania Home brand. The mixture of experiences resulted in the creation of large-format gres tiles, which surround us with their beauty, soothe our senses and take us into the world of unlimited creative possibilities. We want to show that our surrounding interiors can help us regain balance, have a relaxing effect on us, or on the contrary, motivate us to act, giving back the energy that’s hidden within them. We draw from the world of fashion and travel. We avoid obviousness and repetition. We go beyond the outlines by introducing sensory awareness to it all.

Because nothing creates such vivid memories of our beloved places as our senses. We remember the views, smells and favorite flavors. We return to them with nostalgia for years, we rediscover them during our next visits. We create our own sensory map of the world.

That’s also why, when we present our collections, it must be done so it’s one-of-a-kind. “Senses on a journey into the world of interiors” is a unique project, where a new product isn’t just reduced to its technical parameters. We show architects what we feel when we come in contact with our products. We stimulate and use all the senses to fully reveal the beauty of our new collections: Brazilian Quartzite, Marmo Thassos / Morocco, Modern Concrete and Ceppo Nuovo.

To achieve this state, we’re getting help from specialists. The spaces for these events are always outfitted with items referencing the inspiration for a given collection (characteristic foliage, dishes, tableware, etc.). The participants of the training course are drawn in by the smell of incense and the sounds of music. The sense of taste will set off on an exotic journey after sampling hors d’oeuvre native to Brazil, Morocco, Greece, Milan and New York.

Our events are also an opportunity to meet Marta Siembab – the only Polish senselier – an independent expert who provides comprehensive knowledge related to the sense of smell. She works throughout Europe, training professionals in the perfume industry and translating the language of the senses into practical solutions for business. She organizes workshops on how to create an image through a choice of scents, and sense branding workshops, unique on the Polish market, on designing with senses and the mapping of a space with scents.

During the presentation, we discuss the role of senses in interior designs. Experts will answer questions such as: how to increase the perceived value of the interior with the help of a fragrance? Can a 5D apartment be designed? How do you match fragrances, colors and furnishing elements in an interior? What is the secret of creating a particular mood with a fragrance? And many, many more. In addition, each of the participants of the event is given an opportunity to create their own fragrance, which can be used to bring back memories of this unique get together for a long time to come.

Venture with us into the world of senses. See, touch, feel, hear, taste… and experience the new porcelain tile collections by Cerrad x La Mania Home.

The Spring edition of the Cerradzi training is behind us.

The Cerradzi team completed the Spring edition of training courses dedicated to: contractors specializing in tiling work, renovation and finishing companies and all professionals interested in furthering their skills and acquiring new knowledge.

Practical workshops and professional technical advice in one day? Done and done!

– The series of workshops dedicated to contractors were met with a very positive response among the participants.  The need to supplement one’s knowledge with the latest information has its source in the development of new and ever-changing technologies for the processing and mounting of ceramic tiles – both due to their properties (mega-format) and the possibility for their alternative usage (tiles 2.0) – comments Łukasz Majewski, Product Training Coordinator at Cerrad.

– We were able to reach a wide audience with this original project. This is our next step to help develop education in this market and to work closer with professionals – comments Mariusz Budzisz, Cerrad Training Specialist.

During the courses, participants gain knowledge on the production of gres and clinker tiles, receive the know-how on the proper selection of construction chemicals and mounting systems and techniques. – We hope that the knowledge provided during the training will come in handy for a long time to come. – adds Budzisz.

Once again, Cerrad invited our trusted Partners to collaborate on the Spring training edition – manufacturers of: construction chemicals, tools for tile processing and complete terrace and balcony systems. The companies included: Raimondi, Torggler and Renoplast.

Plans for an Autumn edition and further training courses are in the works. All information will soon be available at www.cerrad.com under the training tab.

Cerrad x La Mania Home is an assortment of 4 gres tile collections: Brazilian QuartziteCeppo NuovoModern ConcreteMarmo Thassos/Morocco – inspired by the beauty of the surrounding world, in several formats and color variations, and in different surface finishes. Among them, 6 mm thick slabs measuring 120×280 cm, with original designs and a unique surface finish: lappato silky cristal.

We invite you to join us on a journey, where we take our love and passion for art, travel, fashion and beauty, and we transfer it into the world of interior design.

Brasilian Quarzite – in the rhythm of exceptional design

Do you hear that energetic music? Do you feel how the air vibrates, pulsates and resonates? Warm sand under your feet, a blue sheet of water on the horizon, and a singular thought in your mind: how to hold on to this aura for just a little bit longer, hold it in the palm of your hand and take it with you wherever you go, so this exotic feeling can delight you with its rhythm and contrast on a daily basis. You’re already aware that parting with the azure ocean, golden beach and the deep, dark, rocky outcrops will be of great difficulty. But do you really have to part with it all? Just as Brazil can be explored for many years to come, so can this collection, inspired by the Brazilian Quartzite, let you discover its many faces. Five color variants and an array of formats will one moment surprise you with energy straight out of a colorful carnival in Rio, and the next it will cool you off with its splendor as if you were back at the beach relaxing in the shade of palm trees. Vivacious, but full of class. Striking, but full of harmony. De nada.

Modern Concrete – beauty full of contrasts

It allures with the bustle of eclectic streets, flirts, permeating the sounds of nightlife through the air, distanced by the cold, concrete grayness one minute, only to a moment later, amaze with the blinding glow of neon lights or to calm the senses with the greenery emerging from between the buildings. New York – the Big Apple – a city with tastes that differ according to palate. Just as in this cultural capital of the world, where a diversity of styles and characters convene, so is the Modern Concrete collection a game of associations and assorted aesthetics. Nothing here is unequivocal and transparent. The timeless gray stands against the beige and loses itself in the tranquil, fresh white. Structures, everchanging like New York’s essence, give practically boundless design alternatives. With class, but modern. Minimalistic, but impressive. There you go!

Ceppo Nuovo – native to Italy’s capital of fashion

Sun in zenith, the aroma of coffee wafting through the air, atmosphere teeming with art, fashion and design. Full of class and elegance, but not without energy and temperament. Echoes of history are felt everywhere, a history that becomes the captivating backdrop for modernity. Full of contrasts, therefore coherent, chill at times, but bathed in the warm southern rays – this Italian capital of beauty – Milan manages to amaze and awe at every step. It was this beauty that inspired the creation of the Ceppo Nuovo – a collection that meticulously reflects the beauty of Italian bedrock. Four stunning colors, an assortment of formats, one excellence – today, you too can feel like an artist. Design, create, strut on it as if you were on a catwalk and invite into your home a touch of the Milan style. Non c’e di che!

Marmo – Perfection captured in marble

Thassos – the pearl in Greece’s crown became the inspiration for the Thassos Marmo collection – white surfaced tiles with dynamically scattered veins in shades of gray. The texture allows for a stunning play of lights, which is sure to splendidly illuminate any design. A palatial interior of a Mediterranean residence in the heart of a native climate? Elegance, that doesn’t overwhelm but instead makes the interior feel airy and ethereal? Singular color, myriad of formats, indisputable wonderment and awe. Parakalo!!

Marocco – Shrouded in mystery. Through the sandy Sahara deserts, and cedar forests of the Middle Atlas mountains, all the way to the coastal lagoons. The magical land of the setting sun invites you on a journey full of the Orient, with a refreshing glass of “the a la menthe” in your hand. Just like the Sahara, the Marmo Marocco collection is shrouded in mystery by day, and exposed by the moonlight at night. You can lose yourself in it, get immersed in its beauty, discover its many faces for years to come.

The gray shades have pleasant, warm tones that work in any interior and with any kind of lighting. We used color enhancing technology to create the matt surface, the effects of which are these unusually exquisite tiles, the originality of which was recognized by the competition’s jurycomments Sebastian Stanek, Innovation and Technology Director at Cerrad.

These award receiving tiles from the Ceppo Nuovo collection are now on sale.
