An interior close to nature: how to choose gres tiles for a forestcore-style home?

An interior close to nature: how to choose gres tiles for a forestcore-style home?

The golden palette of autumn foliage, the rustle of footsteps among the fallen leaves, the smell of damp soil mixed with the aroma of growing mushrooms – all this awakens a longing for the comfort offered by a forest cottage, tucked in somewhere at the heart of nature. Now you can bring this harmony and peace to your own home by introducing elements that parallel the untamed side of nature. We will help you discover how to create a space that reflects this carefree landscape using selected gres tiles.

What are the characteristics of forestcore, also called the forest cottage like style?

Forestcore is more than just a trend in interior design. It’s a return to our roots and celebrating the simple life in a quiet forest, where functionality combines with coziness. Natural materials, handmade items and subdued colors are characteristic in this style. The key element that helps to create this special atmosphere are properly selected gres tiles. Their texture, appearance and durability can contribute to creating a coherent, warm space, which is quintessential when it comes to the farmhouse style.

Wood-like gres – perfect for nature lovers

Nothing reminds you of a walk on a forest path like a floor that imitates real wood, complete with its texture and warmth of course. Wood-like tiles are the answer to the call for closeness to nature. Their realness, visible in every knot and grain brings us closer to the forest. By choosing gres tiles with a wood-like pattern, you will not only ensure durability and ease of cleaning, but above all, you will surround yourself with a material that reflects the ever impressive, unspoiled nature.

In order to choose the right kind of floor tile for a forestcore-style home, it’s crucial to look for tiles that most closely resemble real wood in its most organic form. Perfect tiles to be used in living rooms, hallways or other spaces should be within the range of shades that exist in real forest landscapes, i.e. from deep, earthy browns like those found in Guardian Wood Walnut, which resemble tree bark, to the more subtle beiges and grays, like in Aviona Bianco, which mirrors colors found in the forest on a foggy morning.

Bathroom gres and kitchen tiles – functionality combined with style

The bathroom and kitchen are spaces that require materials with special properties. Frequent contact with rapidly changing temperatures and humidity, means that the products used should be highly resistant to the above-mentioned factors. Fortunately, today you no longer have to choose between what looks good and what is functional. Gres tiles come in so many patterns, while at the same time mirroring what is found in nature so perfectly, that they can be used very successfully in forestcore interiors, even when it comes to the so-called “wet” rooms.

It’s not just wood-like gres that will work well in this type of design. When creating interiors with a forest-like atmosphere, it’s also worth considering stone tiles. Models such as Dignity Gray or Tacoma Silver Lappato will perfectly balance the more cozy decorative elements in the room and bring desired harmony to the space.

Another product that will perfectly fit the forestcore style will be brick, or gres, which happens to imitate it perfectly. In this context, it’s worth paying attention to Piatto sand, which is a delicate color of warm sand, or the classic red mirrored in Piatto red. Both collections perfectly reflect the spirit of the forestcore style, introducing the natural and raw feel into the interior, which is so characteristic of this trend.

Nowadays, when we’re constantly surrounded by noise, everyday rush, and the continuous hustle and bustle of city life, more and more people are looking for ways to find peace and harmony in their surroundings. It’s in this context that the concept of forestcore interiors pops up, drawing inspiration from nature, especially the forest. These interiors are designed to remind us of the beauty of nature, its calm rhythm and constant harmony. If you’re dreaming of such a space, remember that the key is choosing the right elements – starting at floor tiles and finishing at the smallest of details. In order to make the interior not only beautiful, but also functional, it’s crucial that each product be selected with precision.

First steps into the darkness

A dark bathroom with black tiles is a choice for the brave, but also for those who value elegance and modernity. More and more people are going in this original design direction, becoming convinced of its extraordinary charm. Black tiles, although they may seem like a challenge, provide unlimited possibilities when designing a space, adding depth and character to it. Large-format slabs imitating black marble, classic “subway” tiles or dynamic 3D patterns – these are just a few choices that can turn your bathroom into a real work of art. However, for the end effect to be spectacular, it’s worth remembering several important aspects. Dark tiles require appropriate lighting that will prevent the space from becoming too overwhelming. Additionally, skillfully placing a mirror can optically enlarge the room and add an interesting effect. So, how do we go about creating an impressive dark bathroom with black tiles? Let’s start with the basis – a black floor.

Black floor – the foundation of a dark bathroom

A black floor is the foundation of a dark bathroom, which will set the tone for the entire room. Black tiles add elegance and depth to the interior, while creating an attractive background for the rest of the equipment and furnishings. However, it’s important to choose appropriate furniture and accessories. Light colors are best, as they will provide contrast to the dark floor, adding lightness to the bathroom. White or wooden elements are especially recommended, because they will bring warmth and coziness to the interior. It’s also worth remembering gold or silver accessories that will add shine and luxury to the bathroom. However, remember that the key to success is moderation – too many dark elements can quickly overwhelm the space. Therefore, when choosing a black floor, it’s worth using light tiles on the walls for example. This will maintain balance and make the bathroom look fresh and modern. What products from our collections can we recommend here? Neotec Black or Cambia Black Lappato will be a great choice.

Dark wall tiles – a mysterious accent in the bathroom

Dark wall tiles are a way to add depth and character to your bathroom. Their use allows you to create a mysterious and at the same time elegant accent. Depending on the chosen style and pattern, we can achieve different effects. Tiles in graphite shades with a delicate sheen will add shine to the interior, emphasizing its modern character. In turn, matte, deep black tiles will create an atmosphere of luxury and prestige. It’s also worth paying attention to products with interesting patterns – they can become unique decorative elements that catch the eye and add originality to the space. However, remember that dark wall tiles work best on large surfaces – in small bathrooms they can visually reduce the size of the space. Therefore, when deciding on black tiles, it maybe worth just using them on one of the walls, creating an successful contrast with other, brighter elements in the room.

Black ceramic tiles – modernity and elegance

Black ceramic tiles are a symbol of modernity and elegance. Their universality makes them a perfect fit for various interior styles – from minimalistic, to industrial, to glamorous. Moreover, dark tiles are extremely practical. The black color masks minor specs of dirt, which is especially important in the bathroom where splashes of water are easy to spot. Ceramic tiles can be easily wiped with a damp cloth to quickly regain their original shine.

A dark bathroom with black tiles is a choice for adventurous people who value original solutions. A well thought-out use of black can bring surprising results. Black tiles go perfectly with other colors and textures, adding elegance and character to the interior. However, it’s worth remembering the most important rule – they look best on large surfaces, and in small bathrooms they can visually reduce the size of the space. We encourage you to experiment and discover your own style. Remember that the bathroom is not only a place for daily rituals, but also a space that can reflect your personality.

Ceramic tiles liven up the kitchen

Have you ever wondered how much influence tiles have on the atmosphere in the kitchen? It’s thanks to their colors and patterns that we can give the darkest corners of the space a completely new character and even liven it up. Especially when we’re talking about ceramic tiles, which can transform any interior with their wide assortment of colors.

Colors of ceramic tiles are crucial to the overall appearance of any room. Did you know that properly chosen colors can optically enlarge the space and also influence our mood? A dark kitchen doesn’t have to be sad and gloomy. On the contrary, thanks to properly selected tiles it can become a place that’s filled life and energy. And we’ve prepared some of our most interesting offers to help you make the best choice for your design needs.

Kitchen tiles – an assortment of colors

Kitchen tiles are not only a practical solution, but also a key decorative element that can significantly influence the atmosphere of the room. When choosing ceramic tiles, we have a wide assortment of colors at our disposal that can liven up even the least-lit of kitchens. From fresh, light shades – through intense, saturated colors – to elegant, deep tones – each one has its own unique power.

The selected colors of tiles are not only a matter of aesthetics, but also functionality. Light colors such as white, beige or other pastel tones will optically enlarge the space and add lightness to it. In turn, dark tones, such as navy blue, gray or black, will give the kitchen depth, elegance and character, although they may visually make it feel a bit smaller. It all depends on what effect we want to achieve and what our individual preferences are. Equally important is how the individual colors are composed together, what patterns they create and what feelings they bring out in us as a whole.

For example, bright and vibrant colors such as yellow, orange or red can make a dark kitchen feel warm and cozy. On the other hand, pastel shades such as mint, pink or lavender can add lightness and freshness to the space. Remember that the key here is harmony and consistency – it’s what will create a truly stylish and functional kitchen.

Shapes and patterns of kitchen tiles

The shape and pattern varieties of ceramic tiles that area available on the market today are truly impressive. From classic squares, through rectangles, hexagons, to the more extravagant forms, like tiles in the shape of fish scales. No matter what you go with, each of these can give your kitchen a unique character and atmosphere. Geometric motifs, floral patterns or abstract compositions – it all depends what your taste is and what décor style you’re going with in your kitchen. For example, tiles with light colors and interesting patterns can optically enlarge and brighten the room. In turn, irregularly shaped tiles can add movement to it, breaking up the monotonous, homogeneous surface.

When it comes to playing with shapes, we encourage you to check out our Cambia Lappato Heksagon collection, which is available in Black, Graphite, Gris and White. These hexagonal tiles are available in four shades, which can easily be mixed and matched to create intriguing compositions. Colors from black, gray to white work well together and look great next to each other.

They’re also universal enough to fit into an elegant, modern kitchen. Marble countertops, wooden furniture, as well as shiny, chrome furnishings will look great against their backdrop. Creating your own design will also allow you to unleash your hidden creativity. We sincerely encourage you to have fun with your arrangement.

Ceramic tiles – how to care for them?

Proper care of ceramic tiles, especially those in the kitchen, is crucial to maintaining their aesthetics and durability. Kitchen products are exposed to a plethora of dirty things, such as grease, splashes and food fragments, which may affect their appearance. That’s why regular and proper cleaning is so important. The basic rule of care for ceramic tiles is regular cleaning, that is the removal of dirt-stuff via the use of a soft cloth or sponge with appropriate cleaning agents. It’s important to remember that some harsher detergents can damage the surface of tiles, so always be sure to read the product labels carefully. Care should also include regular polishing of tiles that have a glossy finish.

Experimenting with colors and patterns when it comes to ceramic tiles is the key to creating a unique and cozy kitchen. Don’t be afraid to combine different shades and patterns to create a space that best reflects your style and personality. Remember that the kitchen is the heart of the home, so it deserves to look as good as you want it to.

Beige isn’t boring

Beige or nude is full of secrets and subtleties. It’s associated with the state of being natural, with peace and elegance, and at the same time with warmth and coziness. In the world of interior design, it plays a key role, often becoming a foundation for many designs. Contemporary interiors that rely on subdued, neutral colors, are sure to find a perfect ally in beige. Why? Because time and again, this color has proven itself to be the perfect backdrop for various accessories and decorations, and it allows you to create both modern and classic interiors. See how to choose the perfect beige tiles for your design needs.

Advantages of beige tiles

When choosing beige tiles, we pick not only  aesthetics, but practicality as well. This color, although it may seem ordinary at first glance, has many advantages. Beige perfectly masks minor specks of dirt, which is appreciated in frequently used places such as kitchens or bathrooms. Another advantage that beige tiles have, is their ability to optically enlarge the space. Light, delicate shades of beige reflect light, which makes the room seem larger and more spacious. This is an ideal solution for small spaces where every square centimeter matters.

Regardless of whether we choose smooth tiles or those with an interesting texture, beige will always add a dab of luxury to the interior, and that’s because this subtle color is associated with sophistication and elegance.

How does one choose the right shade? Beige gres tiles presented several ways

Beige does not mean one color. It’s a whole range of patterns and shades, from light – almost white, like the large format Tacoma White Lappato gres tiles, to dark – close to brown, like in the Concrete Beige slabs. When choosing beige tiles, it’s worth considering what effect we want to achieve and what shades will best harmonize with the rest of the interior. If we dream of a house that’s spacious and full of light, it’s worth going with light beige tiles, like those from the Dignity Gray collection. The room will feel airy and fresh. Light beige goes perfectly with white, gray or pastel colors, creating a harmonious and calm arrangement.

In turn, deeper shades of beige will bring warmth and coziness to the interior. They’re perfect for creating a retro or vintage atmosphere. They go perfectly with dark wood, red or green, adding an interesting accent to the interior.

And let’s not forget about medium-beige. It’s a perfect compromise between light and dark shades. This type of beige is universality in its purest form, so it fits perfectly into a variety of interior design styles.

However, before we decide on a specific shade, it’s really worth testing several different samples in the space where we’re planning to mount floor or wall tiles. This will allow us to assess whether a given color looks good in different light conditions throughout the day and whether it actually harmonizes with the rest of the interior.

Color combinations with beige tiles

Although the color beige itself is subdued and neutral, it can create amazing color combinations that give the interior a unique character. Together with white it creates arrangements that are classic, but with a touch of elegance. In turn, when combined with natural shades of wood, it brings warmth and coziness to the room, which will certainly interest those who love the Scandinavian style. Investors who prefer bold combinations should choose to add black elements to the design, thanks to which they will achieve a modern effect and a clear contrast. However, beige accompanied by green shades and colors is the essence of freshness and connection to nature. Match it with pastels, such as pink or blue, and you’ll create a romantic, feminine interior. The Modern Concrete Ivory gres tiles are perfect for decorative experiments.

Versatility of beige tiles

Beige tiles, thanks to their universality, can be used in many rooms. In the bathroom they create a relaxing atmosphere, they bring harmony to the kitchen, and thanks to their use in the hallway, the space will become brighter. These tiles can decorate walls, floors and even ceilings! In the living room, beige wall tiles can serve as a subtle backdrop for other decorative elements or become the main attraction, especially when we choose products with an interesting texture or pattern, like in the case of Endless Time Beige Lappato. Let’s not forget about our exteriors, such as terraces and balconies. Terrace tiles in a nude shade will harmonize perfectly with lush, green plants and natural materials, creating a cozy corner amid the hustle and bustle of the city.

Although beige tiles may seem subdued and inconspicuous at first glance, they’re actually filled to the brim with design potential. Their universality makes them suitable for almost any room from the bathroom, to the kitchen and even to the balcony. Thanks to them, we can create spaces that are not only aesthetic, but also functional and easy to keep clean. Beige is a color that never goes out of fashion. It’s timeless, elegant and classy. By choosing beige tiles, we invest in quality, durability and design that will stand the test of time.

Cersaie 2023 Cerrad showcase area

The showcase area in itself attracted the attention of many visitors. The over 400m2 exhibition area with the adjoining facilities was designed to accentuate all the advantages of the collections for their debut at the fair – in symbiosis with nature, focused on building a harmonious relationship between us and the natural world. Hence a premiere of collections comprised of neutral colors with minimal patterns expressed on large-format tiles covering entire walls, creating a feeling of natural ambiance with an almost intimate mood. The exhibition, apart from the common areas, was divided into separate zones displaying the new tile collections from Cerrad. The Cerrad x La Mania Home collections were also given their own section, with the heart of the exhibition arranged as a fabulous kitchen designed with ceramic tiles. In short, this was the setting for the official premieres of both collections, which were also accompanied by very special events created especially for the guests.

“Create Experiences with Cerrad x La Mania Home”

September 26th marked the premiere of the latest Cerrad x La Mania Home collections from a new concept titled HARMONY which, just as before, was created in collaboration with Joanna Przetakiewicz – who of course was personally there at the event and who is ambassador to the project. At the fair, this fashion icon, entrepreneur, businesswoman, founder of La Mania Fashion, discussed the collections with journalist Katarzyna Jaroszyńska.  The guests could listen to the inspiring conversation during which, we were taken on a behind-the-scenes glimpse into her collaboration with the Cerrad brand and during which she talked about what inspires her on a daily basis and how 5 of the latest collections from the Harmony concept came to fruition. The visitors could also learn that the previous collections from the Cerrad x La Mania project, which were full of strong and vivid colors, reflected the Ambassador’s favorite travel destinations, and how in these latest collection, she has decided to return home and to nature, bringing back the focus on our harmony with the natural world that surrounds us.

– The new collections are a palette that will allow you to create your own, peaceful space where you just feel good – noted the Ambassador.

Next, the JAM Kolektyw appeared on the stage – a visionary duo that started an agency that combines design and creativity. On a daily basis, Jola Skóra and Anna Olga Chmielewska design private and commercial interiors, in which they combine natural materials and earthy colors to bring out their beauty. In their work and in their design process they often use materialboards, which they prepared for the visitors in real time using the Cerrad x La Mania Home collections. The day was enhanced by delicious refreshments served in a very pleasant atmosphere accompanied by live music performed by Tamara Bleher and Jacek Brzeszczyński.

„Create Experiences with Cerrad”

On September 27th, Cerrad premiered its latest collections of tiles that too, are inspired by nature. Thus, the showcase area became a grand exhibition stage for 23 of the latest Cerrad collections, which were designed in accordance with the latest trends and which saw the light of day for the first time at the fair in Bologna. They are a tribute to nature and the enormous diversity it has to offer. Stone, marble, wood, cement/concrete, travertine – these are just some of the inspirations reflected in the tiles.  No matter which you choose, each one of them will allow you to introduce a note of elegance combined with the power of nature into your home space. Motifs taken directly from the natural world will add a unique atmosphere and a timeless charm to any interior. The suggestions and notes we gathered from our guests and customers at the fair will help us decide which of the collections will appear in the Cerrad catalog offer.

It’s worth mentioning that the special guest that day was prof. Jan Sikora from the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk and founder of the Sikora Wnętrza studio, which has received numerous international awards. In his lecture entitled “Designing experience” the architect, known for his charisma, discussed the history of various surfaces in fine arts and architecture, while highlighting their current role in interiors. He also referred to the function of nature in interior design, emphasizing the idea of sustainable design practices and the role that Cerrad plays in promoting a pro-ecological approach to the entire process of design. Once again, the day included delicious refreshments and live music. This time, the music was provided by Grzech Piotrowski & Band. All activities were conducted in an excellent atmosphere conducive to building positive relationships.

Cogeneration System

Cerrad operating with the largest electric energy generation unit in the Świętokrzyskie voivodship that’s powered by a gas turbine. The main goal of this investment is to improve the companies’ energy efficiency, while ultimately improving the condition of the natural environment and reducing impact on climate which is associated with global warming.

Energy – The currency of the 21st century

What else can be done for the world of design (and not only), apart from creating a timeless product with an excellent design and the highest quality? Solutions appear when the manufacturer’s thinking goes beyond the framework, and the environment becomes one of the main priorities when trying to create a socially responsible strategy for the company.

Energy, essential for life and functioning, and in our business environment a necessity during the design process and most definitely crucial during the manufacturing process of ceramic tiles! Decreasing natural resources, embargoes created by various international situations, forgoing coal use and focusing on reducing harmful emissions – this simply means that the time to talk about what can and should be done is long over. What’s needed is action and getting things done.

Green revolution

Over the years, Cerrad products have gained global recognition and received many international awards. Our specialists draw their creative energy from continuously looking at the world, acquiring new knowledge and intensively working on original and exciting ideas. And they refine it all with experience and talent. The result of their hard work is an excellent product which, in order for it to come into fruition, also needs help from some of the most modern production lines in Poland (and some of the most modern in the world).

Since May of 2023, this kind of modern technology has been in operation thanks to the cogeneration process, which is the simultaneous generation of heat and electricity. Years of intensive work on an effective and maintenance-free solution to the energy demand problem that Cerrad has been working on, resulted in the creation of an independent and fully efficient system located in the cogeneration power plant in Starachowice.

It’s the largest electric energy generating unit in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, with capacities of up to 5.12 MWe in a high-efficiency cogeneration with thermal capacities of up to 10.9 MWt, all based on a gas turbine powered by natural gas. The heat generated for technological needs satisfy energy demands of the company to a great degree, reducing the total consumption of gas and significantly reducing the costs associated with the purchasing of CO2 emission allowances. And what’s very important to add about this investment, is that the cogeneration technology will reduce greenhouse gas emissions and in the long-term, it will help to improve the overall air quality, something that we can be extremely proud of these days. And there are also other benefits associated with this endeavor, such as: improved quality of the natural environment, an upgrade in the communities’ image as environmentally friendly, along with increased local investments and the creation of additional jobs.

– High-efficiency gas cogeneration is one of the key elements in the implementation of Cerrad’s sustainable development strategy. Thanks to this process, Cerrad will be able to manufacture high-quality products at a competitive price, despite the ongoing upward trends in electricity prices. We strive to present that our philosophy of being united with nature is not only visible in our tile designs, but also in the clean air above our factory.  Taking care of the environment is a logical and integral part of our operations, and not just a PR strategy. Energy independence and doing our part to reduce impact on the environment that’s causing climate change, are both very important factors in our organization – says Filip Cegłowski, Chief Commercial Officer.

The main objective of the investment is to increase energy efficiency at the Cerrad plant in Starachowice.  The goal is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere to 32,036 tons of CO2 per year and to save 149,033 Giga joules of primary energy yearly.

– Generating electric energy with the capacity of 5.12 Mwe, while at the same time generating heat energy with the capacity of 10.9 MWt in a high-efficiency cogeneration system, will significantly reduce the consumption of electricity from the main power grid, and will balance out the total consumption of gas for technological needs at the plant. The cogeneration unit will provide 100% of heat energy necessary for the technological equipment at the plant and will secure electricity needs in the range of 60-100% for all the GRES plantssays Tomasz Linek, Energy Efficiency Manager at Cerrad. He also added that the operation of the cogeneration power plant will contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and will reduce the demand for non-renewable energy. The implementation of this investment will also help to achieve Poland’s overall energy goals, which include expanding the number of high-efficiency electricity generating units that take into account the simultaneous reduction of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere, while maintaining a high level of energy security, like at CERRAD.

Thanks to the subsidies obtained from the European funds, it’s now possible to reach environmental goals quicker and to a greater extent. Nearly PLN 10 million in subsidies allowed us to finance a system with much better parameters and with much higher efficiency comments Robert Cholewiński, EU Projects Manager at Cerrad.

The “Construction of a cogeneration system for CERRAD Sp. z o. o. based in Starachowice” project is co-financed by the European Union within the Operational ‘Infrastructure and Environment’ Program under the agreement executed with the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management No. POIS.01.06.01-00-0112/19-00.

Garden tiles – not just for the terrace

Garden tiles are primarily associated with products that are most often used to finish terraces or paths around the house. And no wonder, as the gres that they’re made of is an excellent material for outdoor use. But take a look where else they can be used.

Garden tiles – not just for the terrace

Landscaping and plants, along with the architecture of the house and other structures around it, most definitely play first violin when it comes to designing your yard. However, the importance of less conspicuous elements, such as garden tiles, should not be underestimated. Provided that they’ve been properly selected and integrated into the whole, they can help to not only emphasize the beauty of the garden, but also to hide its weaknesses. First of all, tiles can help us achieve an optical connection between the interior and exterior of the house. The same tiles used inside and outside, will help to create the impression of coherent and harmonious surroundings. In addition to the obvious use of gres on the terrace, it will also be a good idea to use it as a boarder around the building. Owners of houses with geometric shapes should pay attention to Concrete Graphite, the calm concrete motif of which will be perfect for minimalistic arrangements. If, on the other hand, you’re not a fan of gray floors, we have good news: this model is also available in anthracite and beige.

Garden slabs are also a great idea for a creative diversification of exterior walls while at the same time investing in a functional façade. Used this way, they provide additional protection against heat loss, as well as an easy-to-clean, appealing surface. In this case for instance, a safe and universal solution will be wood-like gres, such as the Tauro Honey oak tiles with their pleasant, honey like shades. With its help, you can create a realistic wall decoration with durability that’s exponentially higher than that of the natural, raw material. Consider its use not just on the house, but on other structures around your property as well, like the garage, fence posts, sheds, etc.

Garden tiles are also great as a finish for your parking area, or storage places for bikes, wood, etc.   (under a carport for example). Frequently used surfaces exposed to dirt and grime (outdoor kitchen, barbecue or workshop areas) are other places where tiles should be considered. No one likes unsightly stains from motor oil, grease, charcoal, or paint from do-it-yourself projects. These tiles are not afraid of intensive scrubbing or strong detergents. The non-uniform pattern of the Crafter Grafit tiles will be great at hiding various unwanted substances until they are ready to be washed off.

All corners of the garden deserve an aesthetic finish

When designing our exterior and outdoor areas, the main emphasis is placed on the most exposed and visible elements, while the same time, forgetting about objects that sooner or later, will also need a place of their own. We’re talking about a place for the garbage bins for example. Many homes currently have as many as 5 large waste and recycling containers to deal with, which are not that easy to integrate into the landscape on your property. It should be taken into account that moving a large container, filled to the brim with a not-so-pleasant content, can be quite a feat. Therefore, we suggest that instead of grass, gravel or pebbles, they should in fact be placed on garden tiles. Not only will the flat surface make it easier to transport the bins, but it will also be easy to clean.

Also, a composter placed directly on the ground is not necessarily a good idea. Over time, it will sink deeper into the soil, which may have an adverse effect on the design and the function of it. A gres subbase will also come in handy in this type of situation.

Garden slabs are also great as decorations while being practical, like when used to finish areas around the fire pit or the swimming pool. Using the Testo Gris stoneware tiles, which are cleverly similar looking to natural rock, you can create an interesting design based on the fire-stone or stone-water contrasts.

Don’t forget the gardens

Especially vegetable! And the area around the currently popular raised beds. Especially, since mowing grass along the narrow pathways in between the beds is always problematic. Gravel, on the other hand, will quickly overgrow with unwanted weeds. Therefore, it’s an excellent idea to line the spaces around the beds with garden tiles. Surface patterns of the Verness Dark or Arragos Brown tiles will work well in natural surroundings and will help to emphasize the organic atmosphere of a backyard vegetable garden.

When it comes to designing your dream corner, the old saying that only our imagination is the limit is absolutely true.  So, it’s great that our power to create is now also supported by modern technologies thanks to which so many high-quality products are created, ones that are ready to meet the expectations of the most demanding projects, including our garden ventures.

EU Ceramic Pearls

The EU CERAMIC PEARLS contest has been organized since 2004 by the editors of the quarterly “Wokół Płytek Ceramicznych” publication. The competition is being held under the honorary patronage of the Association of Polish Architects (SARP). Its task is to select ceramic tile collections that are available on the Polish market – ones that distinguish themselves form other products through their unique designs, original color pallets, rich decorative elements and a large assortment of format choices. The competition’s aim is to also honor the teams involved in the design process, realization of projects and the marketing of products.

The goal of the competition is to select collections that stand out on the market in terms of design and quality, and those that best match global trends.

An EU Ceramic Pearl 2022 award was presented to the Ceppo Nuovo collection.

An EU Ceramic Pearl Distributors 2022 award was presented to the Brazilian Quartzite collection.

The awards were presented to us and our Partner during an official Gala event. Thank you sincerely for this distinction!

Showroom

Is a new kind of a place on Poland’s map.  It was established with a thought of collaboration ventures with architect and clients.

The 300 m2 area is divided in separate zones that showcase arranged booths and have separate areas for the exhibition of slabs, multiformats, wood-like products, and tiles imitating stone, concrete and marble.  We’ve also designed a special place for training sessions and presentations.

The showroom features tile assortments from the Cerrad Group, including the Cerrad x La Mania Home project collections and our new products – the Guardian Wood and Sentimental Wood collections. In addition to our products, we’re also showcasing a ceramic tile kitchen designed by the Ernest Rust company.

The showroom includes:

  • Interactive exhibition booths with inspiring design ideas, multiformat tile and 120x280cm format slab displays
  • The floor, covered with our 120 x 280 cm tiles from the Ceppo Nuovo collection. Cerrad x La Mania Home
