We are proud to announce that the Cerrad Group is the first manufacturer in Poland to obtain the ISO 17889-1 certificate, the first international standard for assessing the sustainability of ceramic tiles.
The ISO 17889-1 standard is based on 38 measurement parameters and enables a comprehensive evaluation of the product in three key areas:
- Environmental,
- Social,
- Economic.
The full life cycle of ceramic tiles is analyzed — from raw material selection, through the production and distribution process, to installation, usage, and waste management.
The certification system includes:
- 15 mandatory requirements, which must be met in order to obtain the certificate,
- 23 optional criteria, evaluated on a scale from 100 to 130 points, depending on the effectiveness of the specific solution.
Obtaining the ISO 17889-1 certificate confirms that Cerrad products meet the highest sustainability standards — in terms of quality, environmental responsibility, and social impact.
It is also another step in the implementation of our strategy aimed at creating innovative and environmentally friendly solutions for the architecture and construction industries.

Picking floor tiles for a farmhouse-style hallwayChoosing the right floor tiles for the hallway is a key element in creating a coherent and aesthetic interior. Farmhouse, a style reminiscent of a charming and cozy cottage located in a picturesque countryside, is winning the hearts of those who love interior design trends, all over the world. See what floor tiles will match this arrangement.
First steps towards the farmhouse style
The hallway, which is the first showcase area of every home, needs to have a floor that will be the foundation for the rest of your farmhouse-style design. Without a doubt, the best solution here are floor tiles. A properly selected type of tile will guarantee durability and timeless beauty. These are extremely important features in a place that is the first and last space we see when entering or leaving the house.
Wood or stone? Stone tiles vs wood-like gres
Wood-like gres tiles have become a huge hit in recent years. Their phenomenon is that that they perfectly imitate wood, while retaining all the advantages of ceramic products. Imagine the warmth and coziness of wooden boards under your feet, like the Guardian Wood Honey for instance, but without the worry that they will scratch or stain. Moreover, wood-like gres fits perfectly into the surroundings of a country house design, adding warmth and a natural feel to the interior.

On the other hand, we have the stone-like gres tiles. The choices are abundant, because we have a wide range of products to pick from: from marble, like the Ovation Beige collection, to Brazilian Quartzite Amber, Dignity Beige sandstone, slate and many others.
This material is less expressive than the real wood patterns, so it will fit perfectly into luxurious, elegant and minimalistic interiors.
When comparing both types of floor tiles, it’s worth remembering that wood-like patterns will make the room feel warm, cozy and inviting. It’s the perfect choice if you want people in your house to feel a homey atmosphere right as they enter the place. Stone tiles will bring toughness and elegance to the hallway, but they can make the room seem more formal and raw.

Beige tiles – a universal choice for a farmhouse-style hallway
If you’re a person who values universality and elegance, but who doesn’t want to give up the feeling of warmth and coziness, beige tiles may hit the bullseye here! Why? Beige is a color that perfectly fits the aesthetics of the farmhouse, because it has the power to combine simplicity and sophistication into a functional space. It’ also very easy to pair with other colors and interior elements – from furniture to all sorts of accessories. In addition, beige helps to brighten the space, which is especially important in the hallway. Beige floor tiles, such as the Modern Concrete Ivory or Tacoma Sand, are a perfect compromise between making the place feel formal and that of everyday free-for-all. They’re a perfect choice for those who want their farmhouse-style hallway to feel cozy and elegant at the same time.
Herringbone floor patterns are a great choice!
The herringbone pattern for the floor, which is an arrangement of rectangular tiles in a way that they resemble the bones of a fish, such as the herring for instance, is a pattern worth considering for a farmhouse-style interior. This inventive way of arranging the tiles is not only aesthetic, but it also adds dynamic movement and expression to the space. The herringbone pattern makes the house look stylish right from the entrance. When you think about herringbone patterns, wood-like gres is probably the first thing that pops into your mind, and rightly so! Tiles such as Tramonto Beige or the darker Tramonto Marrone will look great in this fun “zigzag” placement. However, it’s also worth considering other choices. Stone tiles or marble gres tiles will also look great in this arrangement. What’s more, their stone-cold elegance will add class and prestige to the interior.

How does one choose the floor for a farmhouse-style hallway?
Choosing the right floor for the hallway is a key element in creating a farmhouse-style atmosphere. If you value warmth and coziness, wood-like gres tiles are a great solution for you. For those who wish to add a touch of luxury and elegance to their hallway, stone tiles will be a hit. However, beige tiles will be a universal choice that can easily harmonize with many other interior elements.
To make your hallway beautiful and practical, it’s worth finding a balance between aesthetics and functionality. There is no doubt that the farmhouse-like atmosphere is a combination of tradition with modernity, and of warmth with elegance. By choosing floor tiles for the hallway, we’re not only giving ourselves the opportunity to emphasize the character of the style we’re picking, we’re also adding a spark of dynamic energy to our interior. Let us also remember that the hallway is a space that’s meant to welcome us after a hard day and lead us into our comfort zones. Therefore, it’s most definitely worth investing in solutions that are not only beautiful, but also functional.
Charm of the past on the floorSurrounded by flashing screens, artificial lighting and steel structures in our everyday spaces, we increasingly long for something that is real, that has a soul. In this hustle and bustle that is modern life, a house decorated in a rustic style is not only a trend. It’s a choice that allows us a moment of rest and relaxation, a contact with something authentic and close to nature. A rustic space will help you remember just how much strength simplicity can have and how much beauty is hidden in imperfection. To achieve a truly rustic style, we must pay attention to several important elements. The key among those will be the properly selected floor tiles.
Floor tiles as the foundation of a rustic interior
The rustic style draws its strength from the simplicity of nature, and the floor plays not only a practical role there, but above all, an aesthetic one. When choosing the right cladding, you should pay attention to materials that will emphasize the natural, slightly raw character of the interior, but at the same time offer durability and ease of cleaning. The ideal solution is stoneware tiles, which perfectly reflect the beauty of nature. This is one of the reasons why they are often used in rustic arrangements.
Floor gres, thanks to its diversity, allows you to create many surfaces like those resembling stone – in the case of Brazilian Quartzite Natural, or brick like in the Piatto Terra tiles, or even wood, like in the case of Guardian Wood Brown for example. Gres tiles with a matte finish, a structure and texture close to the natural, raw materials and represented in warm, earthy colors are ideal for rustic interiors – like the Rapid Beige collection, which is a perfect example.

Gres tiles: A combination of durability and style
Gres, thanks to its unique properties, is resistant to abrasion, harsh chemicals, high temperatures and persistent presence of water. This is especially important in places such as kitchens or bathrooms, where moisture and grime are unavoidable.
However, it’s not just practicality that makes gres tiles the top choice for rustic interiors. Their aesthetics are extremely diverse, offering a wide range of patterns, colors and textures, which are sure to draw you in with their warmth and authenticity. Therefore, it’s safe to say that they are a practical and aesthetic choice that will stand the test of time, while retaining its charm for many years to come.

Wood-like gres: The warmth of wood with the durability of ceramics
Among the various options available on the market, wood-like gres is emerging as one of the favorites in rustic designs. It delights with its authentic wood-like texture and graining patterns, allowing you to introduce a close-to-nature atmosphere into the interior. This is especially important in rooms where natural wooden boards could be damaged quickly and easily, like in the kitchen or bathroom. Gres tiles are fully resistant to moisture and temperature changes, and to harmful health factors such as mold or fungus.
Furthermore, wood-like tiles are available in a wide range of colors and styles, which makes it easy to perfectly match them to individual preferences and needs of any interior type. We can choose from products with light tones – such as the Guardian Wood Light Beige tiles, or darker and more expressive ones that we can admire, like tiles from the Sentimental Wood Brown collection, and we can even choose options inspired by exotic wood varieties, like the Acero Ochra for example. As you can see, the possibilities are nearly endless.
Choosing the right floor is crucial to creating an atmosphere and functionality of a rustic home. By carefully selecting materials, colors and textures, it’s possible to create a space that combines carefree beauty, warmth and tradition. You don’t have to give up modern solutions and the guarantee of durability. Let’s remember that a rustic-style home is not just a place we inhabit, but above all else, a space that tells our story and reflects our personality. So let your flooring choice be a well-thought-out decision that will help you create a home full of warmth and comfort filled with a family atmosphere.
Peachy eleganceEvery year, the world of design eagerly awaits the Pantone Institute’s announcement for the color that will dominate trends in fashion, art and interior design. For 2024, the choice fell on the warm and energetic shade called “Peach Fuzz 13-1023”. This vibrant color, reminiscent of a ripe peach, is not only the embodiment of optimism, but also a symbol of warmth and home-like comfort. See what gres tiles will match the designs with this unique motif.
What exactly is Peach Fuzz?
The 2024 choice for the color of the year – “Peach Fuzz 13-1023”, is a balance between delicacy and dynamism. Its delicately pastel, but clearly saturated nature that’s reminiscent of a ripe peach evokes a sense of optimism. With its subtlety, it introduces an atmosphere of peace and relaxation into the interior, and at the same time, due to its spontaneity, it stimulates positive emotions and adds energy. It’s a color that inspires creativity and openness to new ideas. When designing a space, “Peach Fuzz” can be both, a subtle accent and a dominant element all at the same time. Its warm character makes it perfect for places that require a bit of coziness, such as bedrooms or living rooms.
Which gres tiles will match this fruit inspired interior?
When creating a cohesive space, where peach will sit first chair, you should carefully look at all the other elements in the house. The wide range of gres tiles includes models that perfectly complement Peach Fuzz.

The selected tiles for the floor or wall should either harmonize with the warmth of this shade or create an interesting contrast with it. If you’re looking for something that will match this shade, you can turn to beige tiles. Tiles from the Endless Time Beige collection that have a rich, heterogeneous pattern, also have delicate hints of orange undertones that will look great when paired with color 13-1023. If we are looking for something even more delicate, Dignity Beige will certainly guarantee that.
In turn gray tiles, especially in the lighter tones, will create an elegant balance with the cheerful character of Peach Fuzz. For that effect, it’s worth paying attention to tiles from the Ceppo Nuovo Silver collection or to the Brazilian Quartzite Natural stone tiles. White gres tiles with a marble pattern (like those from Marmo Thassos) can serve as a neutral, but at the same time a very original backdrop, allowing the depth of this saturated color to be defined. Dark shades such as anthracite or black can create a strong, modern effect. Colors from this group will emphasize the dynamics of the peach hues and create a contrast that adds depth and visual complexity. When choosing wall or floor tiles in the “Peach Fuzz” color, it’s important to remember to maintain design balance and harmony in the entire space.

Wood-like tiles… are they a fit here?
When it comes to interior design while using the 2024 color winner, it’s impossible not to mention wood-like tiles. However this approach, just like all the other ones, requires tiles that will harmoniously combine with the warm and energetic nature of the peach color. Collections with light wood patterns, such as Guardian Wood Light Beige or Nickwood Bianco, that have delicate, almost pastel tones, will subtly contrast with the vivid orange-pink shades to create a coherent, relaxing space. Patterns with delicate, irregular wood graining will enliven the whole design and add an element of coziness to the interior. For people who prefer more expressive and modern solutions, dark wood-like gres, such as Nickwood Marrone, will be an ideal choice here. Intense, deep tones will bring an effective contrast to Peach Fuzz, which will in turn emphasize the modernity and the dynamic nature of the design.
Dotting the ‘i’, meaning: accessories
Once we have picked the right tiles for the living room, bathroom or other areas of the house, it’s time to choose the accessories and furniture pieces that will make the rooms come alive. How about placing a upholstered, cream colored sofa against the peach wall? A soft carpet on the floor together with a metallic coffee table will complement the composition with effortless elegance, and designer paintings or posters will add an interesting, modern element.
The key to creating the perfect interior in “Peach Fuzz” shades lies in the skillful combination of subtlety and boldness. This creates a visually attractive combination reflecting the personality and lifestyle of its creators. After all, design is more than just pretty objects – it’s a great way to express one’s true self.
Kitchens like way back whenThe kitchen is not only a place where we prepare meals – it’s the heart of the home, a space where memories are created and where we spend quality time with family and friends. Therefore, it’s fair to say that the selection of appropriate materials plays a special role when it comes to kitchen interior designs. They should be practical, but they should also provide the space with a unique character. In recent years, we have seen return to the roots, to the natural and warm elements of traditional designs. And tiles that imitate brick are a perfect fit here. They’re an increasingly popular choice among those who want to give their kitchen a unique, but classic look.
Brick in the kitchen – from tradition to modernity
Brick has always been a symbol of durability and style. Today we can find it in various interiors – from old, industrial lofts to modern, minimalist designs. Today’s brick walls can be successfully replaced by gres tiles that faithfully mimic the original thing, both in terms of color and texture. These tiles are also easy to install and maintain, which makes them an ideal choice for anyone who dreams of a functional kitchen.
Tiles that imitate brick have several significant advantages. First of all, they’re light and their installation does not require special bricklaying skills. This makes them an excellent choice for DIY enthusiasts and for use in DIY projects. They can be cut to specific dimensions and have holes cut in them for various elements like wiring, sockets or switches. Additionally, they’re usually thinner than standard bricks, which is important in rooms with limited space.

Assortment of patterns and colors
Imitation gres for walls can be used in various decorative contexts. It will work well in both, traditional and more avant-garde spaces. Tiles with warm shades of red and brown, like those from the Piatto Red and Piatto Terra collections, will bring to mind classic brick walls of old manors or farms. In turn, subtle and modern grays and whites from the Piatto Sand and Foggia Bianco collections, will reflect the atmosphere of minimalist lofts or Scandinavian cottages.
The texture of the tiles also plays an important role here. Some collections imitate old brick with visible signs of wear, which adds a slightly nostalgic, rustic atmosphere to the interior. A great example here are the Retro brick masala tiles. Others, however, provide a modern look with smooth and even surfaces that perfectly match modern, lustrous kitchen accessories. For this look, it’s worth paying attention to the Cottage salt tiles.
Regardless of whether we choose brick-imitating tiles for a classic look or go with more contemporary design ideas, we have the opportunity to create a unique and personalized space. This type of gres allows you to experiment with various arrangements and color combinations, offering almost unlimited design possibilities. For example, we can choose to create a uniform gres wall in one color or create a more complex, patterned compositions by combining different shades and textures. Brick walls look great in combination with other materials such as wood, metal or glass.

Imitation brick walls as means for a practical solution
Gres tiles that imitate brick will not only help to create a unique decoration, but also an environment that’s conducive to various kitchen experiments. It’s also withstanding to everyday use of the space. It’s easy to keep clean, which is crucial in a space that can often get messy and dirty. Additionally, these tiles are resistant to moisture and high temperatures, which makes them an ideal choice for use as a backsplash above the countertop or around the stove.
When choosing tiles for the wall or floor, remember that they are not only an aesthetic addition, but also an element that will help to create a space that’s full of life with the warmth of a fire. A kitchen with brick walls becomes more than just a place to prepare meals – it will be the heart of the home, where family and friends gather to share special moments with one another. Brick, with its rich texture and cozy appearance, brings a sense of durability and peace to the interior, and creates a favorable atmosphere for making beautiful memories togethers. Thanks to brick, a kitchen can become a space where tradition mixes with modern trends, and all separate elements work together in harmony.
When we think about interior design, we often focus on large elements – furniture, wall color or lighting. We pay less attention to small details that actually have a huge impact on the final appearance and atmosphere of the space. One of these often underestimated, yet key elements, are window sills. Although they’re often simply seen as a practical addition, properly selected window sill tiles can completely alter the character of the interior.
Window sill in the main role
How window sill tiles will affect the appearance of the interior depends on several key factors. First of all, let’s take into account what’s visible at first glance – their patterns and colors. Bright, uniform tiles can make the space seem larger, while those with intense patterns or colors, such as the Rot window sill clinker tiles, can become an interesting accent in a more subdued environment.
It’s also worth experimenting with noticeable shades – for example, black tiles from the Nero line mounted in a room with white walls will catch the eye and help to highlight items placed on the sill. An interesting sculpture, a photo frame, a painting or a favorite plant in an interesting pot, will all look like exhibits in a museum when set against the dark surface.

Cohesive interior
When choosing the right products that will remain in our homes for many years to come, we should not forget that even such an inconspicuous thing as a window sill, should blend in with the rest of the interior. So when choosing tiles for that area, you can use the color of the walls, floors or furniture as your guide. It’s also a good idea to create a contrast that will become a clear decorative point in the space. It’s important that this area match the rest of the design not only in color, but also in style. For example, a window sill covered with tiles that have a rustic pattern on them will complement country-style interiors perfectly, while those with a modern design, like those from the Grafitowa line for example, will ideally suit rooms with a minimalist style.
The type and location of the window are also important aspects when picking tiles for the window sill. It’s worth considering what it will look like at different times of the day and in artificial lighting. Tiles with shiny surfaces can beautifully reflect light, creating interesting visual effects, especially on sunny days. However, those with a satin surface – like the Miodowa tiles, will disperse the light in a more balanced way thanks to their semi-matte finish, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere.

Practical aspects of a tiled window sill
The advantages of a tiled window sill go far beyond its pleasing appearance. It also stands out due to its functionality and ease of maintenance. Imagine how easily and quickly you can refresh the appearance of your window sill using only a damp cloth. Regardless of whether we are dealing with everyday dust, occasional stains or persistent dirt accumulated over months (like that on exterior window sills), simply wiping the sill with a sponge soaked in water or detergent is usually enough to restore its original shine.
But that’s not everything. A ceramic window sill is impressively resistant to changing weather conditions. It will withstand intense sun rays, frost and moisture. Its durability means that the color and texture will remain intact for years, which is especially important in places where regular renovations or the replacement of tiles are not an easy option.
A big-little thing
One of the greatest advantages of window sill tiles is their extraordinary versatility. The fact that they are available in a variety of patterns, colors and materials allows us to match them to any interior style – from classic, through rustic, to modern and minimalist. Window sill tiles can be subtle and discreet, or quite the opposite! They can be a distinctive accent in a room that attracts attention. Investing in window sill tiles not only improves the aesthetics of our home, but it also provides a practical and long-term solution. Their ease of maintenance and extreme durability make them an ideal product for anyone who values both, beauty and functionality. Regardless of whether you are planning a major renovation or just a minor change in the décor of your interior, what’s covering your window sill can be just the thing that changes the appearance of the entire house. Let’s remember: every detail matters!
White living roomWhite in interiors symbolizes purity, freshness and elegance. It’s also extremely universal, because it matches any style – from minimalistic to that with rich decor. Living rooms, where white is the dominant color, are like an artist’s blank canvas. They offer endless design possibilities for a space that’s decorated according to an individual’s taste. In this article, we will present some ideas on which gres tiles to choose when creating the perfect white living room. Inspirations are at your fingertips!
Elegance and warmth: white gres tiles, a gateway to your dream interior
White gres tiles in the living room are not only a practical choice, but also an important decorative element that can completely change the character of the interior. When inviting them into your home, the first thing you should do is decide what type of white shade it is that you want. If we go with cool shades with blue or gray undertones, such as in the Tassero Bianco collection, our living room will look fresh and modern. These tiles, combined with metallic accents, glass elements or furniture pieces with simple forms, will create an elegant room that fans of minimalism will absolutely love. What if we want to enhance the whole design with a strong, decorative contrast? Colorful pillows, bright paintings and patterned carpets will perfectly complement the subdued style.
In turn, if we choose warm tones of white, like beige, cream or tiles with a delicate yellow undertone – we can make the living room more cozy. Living room tiles in these shades harmonize perfectly with natural materials such as wood or leather, and they go well with soft textiles. This version of white reminiscent of the cold snow, will surprise you with its pleasant appearance.

From matte to glossy – make the correct choice
The surface finish of floor and wall tiles plays a key role when it comes to the shaping of character for the entire room. White tiles with a matte finish that have a subtle looking surface are perfect when creating an elegant, refined interior. Tiles from the Cambia White collection are just one example. They look particularly good in living rooms dominated by natural materials and textures, such as wood, linen or cotton.

On the other hand, high-gloss white tiles fit perfectly in interiors with minimalistic and modern type décor styles. Additionally, their light-reflecting surface makes the space appear brighter and optically larger.
White tiles – bricks, that will decorate the living room
White brick tiles are a unique decorative element. Their classic color, combined with an interesting form, will bring variety to the entire space in a nonchalant way that will not disturb the room’s spaciousness and brightness. Tiles mimicking the appearance of traditional brick, like those from the Foggia Bianco collection, or the so-called Parisian brick with beveled edges, will work perfectly both, in spaces with modest dimensions as well as in larger living rooms. These small rectangular tiles will be an effective backdrop for modern, minimalistic furniture pieces and will create an interesting contrast between the raw look of the brick and the modern design. They are also an ideal solution for those who want to introduce an industrial element into their interior, but in a lighter, more subtle form from the real thing.
What to combine the white tiles with in the living room?
White gres tiles in the living room open the door to a world of unlimited arrangement possibilities. Their universality allows you to create harmonious compositions with various design elements. First of all, they go perfectly with natural, wooden furniture. Tables, shelves and chairs made of wood look exceptionally stylish against the white tile backdrop, while at the same time bringing warmth and a natural feel to the interior.
Another element that accompanies white tiles exceptionally well are textiles presented in deep, saturated colors. Soft, velvet pillows, heavy curtains or colorful carpets will be perfectly highlighted against the light background. Modern accessories, such as designer lamps, glass tables or everyday furnishing elements in simple forms, combined with the smooth surface of these tiles are also a big hit. A white living room is an excellent foundation for experimenting with various styles and accessories. From raw minimalistic interiors to warm, homely oases – the color of snow gives you the freedom to create a space that is both functional and aesthetically stunning.
